DESCRIPTION

A delightfully spacious and beautifully renovated cottage, in the heart of the village, with its own boathouse and slipway.

Steps lead up to the slate terrace where a French door opens onto the dining room, partially partitioned by old panelling from the sitting room with a wood burner, TV and sofa and chairs in primrose and blue. Beyond the sitting room is a lobby for the central heating boiler, and from here three doors lead to the utility room housing the washer dryer, bathroom with bath and overhead shower, and second sitting room with TV/DVD and 4’6” sofa-bed. The charming kitchen is duck-egg blue with a navy Aga, includes a dishwasher and microwave, and has a pine breakfast table at the far end. Stairs from the kitchen lead up to the large main bedroom with 5’bed and armchair alcove made for reading, two twin rooms, and a shower room with shower, basin and loo.

Outside, there is the fantastic South-East facing elevated terrace with views right down the river and teak garden furniture and barbeque, and also larger terraced garden behind the property with a picnic table and more great views. Across the lane is a boathouse with slipway for launching boats on a high tide. Parking normally available on the roadside just below the house.

Bed linen provided, towels available to hire. Central heating and electricity included. A basket of logs is provided in Winter.
