The Cottage

This delightful detached stone cottage is tucked away in a quiet, secluded corner of Helford Village near to the Shipwrights Arms, with views of the river from most rooms.

The Cottage is centrally heated, comfortable and well equipped.  The kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave and small breakfast bar overlooking the river and the attractive comfortable living/dining room features a stone fireplace with a woodburner and a new 32" flat screen digital television, Blu-ray DVD and video.  Downstairs there is also a single bedroom/bunk room.

Upstairs is a bathroom with bath, overhead shower, basin and loo, a double bedroom with a stunning river view, a walk-thro' single or twin bedroom leading to a spacious main bedroom with 6' bed. Duvets and linen are provided, and towels are available for hire.

There is a sheltered sun trap patio with garden furniture and a useful utility room / outhouse with a freezer, washer, dryer, 2nd loo and basin. Parking for two to three cars is available a few yards up the lane beyond the cottage. Hot water is included (and central heating in cooler months).  Electricity is charged by meter reading.

The telephone is connected for local and incoming calls, and free wireless broadband internet is also included.  

The Cottage comes with its own mooring at Potter’s pontoon, three minutes walk away, available for use by guests with their own boat by arrangement.   Sorry, dogs/pets are not accepted. No smoking.
