“New for us this year, this stunning period home offers total privacy with lovely gardens, yet is right in the heart of the beautiful village of Manaccan, just a mile from Helford.”
This atmospheric and rather grand old house is a real charmer, and has been sympathetically furnished with quirky antiques and paintings, making a most unusual and restful place to stay.
The wood panelled hallway leads into the large main living room, with antique furniture and rugs, and French doors leading out onto the terrace and lawn beyond. Behind is the kitchen with slate floor, farmhouse table, cream aga, and a utility room. There is an elegant dining room, a smaller second sitting room with TV, and a downstairs loo.
Upstairs is the main bedroom with lovely pastoral views, with a bathroom with bath. A corridor housing a dressing room leads to the charming mint green twin bedroom, with an extraordinary double height bathroom with freestanding bath beyond. The other side of the spacious landing are a further two double bedrooms, each with a bathroom with a bath.
Outside is the old Sunday school building, now used as a games room with table football, books and board games, and the lawns, looking straight out onto the fields, with no other properties visible.
Parking on the private drive for 3-4 cars. All bed linen and towels provided. Electricity and heating included. The pub in Manaccan is two minutes walk from the vicarage, and Helford Stores just a mile away.
