“Pointside is a handsome, Georgian-style home, full of seaside touches, and with only the coastal footpath between the house and the water, enjoys fantastic river views from every window.”
Pointside is a well-equipped and elegant semi-detached period holiday home, under new ownership and completely re-decorated in 2014.
The porch leads from the front garden to a comfortable, cream sitting room with linen sofas and natural wood floor. There is a wood-burner, TV with DVD player, and a CD player. The large kitchen is duck egg blue and has a ceramic hob, two separate ovens, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, espresso machine, and a long pine table for up to eight with views of the river as you dine.
A walk-through study area with desk, phone for incoming calls and broadband leads to a children’s room/conservatory with large squashy seating area and TV/video/DVD and a utility room with a washer/dryer, freezer and C.H. boiler. French doors open onto a small courtyard with a barbecue, and steps lead to the upper deck with garden furniture and views down the river.
Stairs from the sitting room go up to a main bedroom with 5’ bed, en-suite shower room, and river views from all three windows as you lie in bed. Along the landing there is a double bunk bedroom with two sets of 2’6” bunks, a bathroom with bath and overhead shower, and a sweet and sunny twin room.
At the bottom of the front garden is the coastal footpath, and below this are steps down to a shingle beach where there is an outhaul with a 10’ Anarth rowing dinghy for guests to row around the creeks. The rowing boat can also be left on the owner’s pontoon at the Point which gives you access to the water at all times.
Bed linen provided; towels available to hire. Central heating and electricity included. Starter logs provided. Parking can be arranged directly with the owner.
